TRANSMISSION LA: THE AUDIO - VISUAL CLUB

Joyce and I took in the Mike D curated TRANSMISSION LA: THE AUDIO - VISUAL CLUB exhibit at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA this past weekend.  The exhibit was an audio visual experimentation and it definitely blew our minds.  The pictures do not do it justice, especially the Ben Jones installation.

NEFF & The Seventh Letter present Sesame Street

Joyce and I stopped by the Known Gallery to check out the Sesame Street exhibit presented by NEFF and The Seventh Letter benefitting the City of Hope Department of Pediatrics. The exhibit tapped some of the best street artists and the pieces didn't disappoint.

PIZZERIA MOZZA

Joyce and I grabbed a bite to eat at Pizzeria Mozza before heading over to the Sesame Street exhibit at Known Gallery.  We missed our reservations, but it ended up being better because we were seated at the bar and had a front row seat to the cooking.  The meatballs we ordered were amazing.  You know when you take a bite of amazing food and the world just stops for a second or two, these meatballs did that.

Here is the run down:
1. Nancy's chopped salad
2. Meatballs al forno
3. Veal tongue with mushrooms & parsley
4. Margherita with mozzarella, tomato & basil
5. Fennel sausage, panna, red onion & scallions
6. Butterscotch budino, sea salt & rosemary pine nut cookies

Joyce and I spent the weekend in New Orleans for my college roommate's wedding.  We had a blast catching up with old friends and going to town on the amazing eats in the city like Coop's Place, Restaurant August, Johnny's Po-boys, and Cafe Beignet to name a few.  It definitely won't be the last time we visit.
